Menu-Plan-Monday

The Fall schedule begins to start back this week. Already. I'm really glad I started planning a menu. I think it's going to come in super handy when lots of our time is structured like it is during the "school" year.

Monday - Roasted Whole Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Homemade Rolls

Tuesday - Hamburgers/Hotdogs (leftover from cookout Sunday), Pasta Salad, Cheesecake (leftover)

Wednesday - Chicken Burritos

Thursday - Hot Sausage, Onion and Cheese Quiche', Salad (We haven't gotten to this yet.)

Friday - Grilled Cheese and Tomato Sandwiches, Sauteed Zucchini

You know Michelle sometimes I am amazed at the simple things I pick up from someone else that never seemed to have taken root in my own head. I LOVE that grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches idea. My kids are grilled cheese fans but I never thought about putting tomatoes on them. Yet my kids are also big on tomatoes. That sounds like a wonderful quick and easy meal idea, Thank You! :)

Hi Michelle, my name is Robin and I have just recently discovered your blog. What a nice place to stop in! I am also a nurse but only work weekends and the rest of the time I am home with my five children. I love your house and especially your swimming pool. We have a small above ground pool but I would love to have something like yours, I really like all the decking! Did you set your pool down in the ground alittle? We have a sunken patio so I don't know how that would work since you have to walk up steps to get to the yard. Also, I want to make your pasta salad, how much pasta do you use? Thanks for your site, have a great day. Blessings, Robin

Andrea, let me know if/when you try it with tomatoes. It's absolutely delicious!

Robin, thank you for the nice compliments! Many of my friends who are nurses as well, only work on the weekends. And that's what I did for years before we had our 3rd and I just didn't go back afterward. But that way my husband was home with the girls while I worked and it worked out for us at the time. :)

And no, our pool is just sitting flat on the ground. We almost never used our backyard before we got it over 6 years ago. It was just too hot here in South TN without the water. But now we *live* outside. We feel so blessed to have that deck. It looked too big at first but now it feels just right. :)

And the pasta, it's a pound.

Thanks for visiting and all of your sweet words. Come back anytime. :)

Robin here again, thanks Michelle can't wait to try your pasta salad. It is hot here too in Iowa and I always had it in my head that I would like a pool off our patio. :) Again, yours looks so awesome along with your house! Yes, I consider myself so blessed to be able to work a weekend option line and be home during the week, hardly seems like I am working. We were in Tn back in May for a short trip....small world. :) Take care, Robin
